"In the closet" Mechanical Pencil
This is a portrait of Angelina Jolie and myself as children. We are hiding in the closet. This was my view of how our relationship would be from movies I saw. She just needed someone like me to protect her. "My love will save her" is the conversation I had for all the women I was attracted to, dated, and even those (3) I had relationships with. I was very clear about my "superhero complex" when I drew this. What I wasn't clear about was how to stop doing that to myself. So, even though I was obsessed with Angelina at the time, this was a way to make fun of myself. I still laugh at this every time I look at it! I'm so funny to me! |
